Administrators not in Author List

We have developed our own simple front end for worksite using the imanage dll, but are having a few problems with the author list.

We are able to see the majority of users in the author list from active Directory. Only the DMS administrators and those who no longer have an AD account are unavailable. These users are available through the worksite web dms.

Anyone had any similar issues and any suggested solutions?
