Need to add new button in dct

a action to it .

Can you please specify your requirement in little detail as where you want to add the button and what exactly you want to acheive with that button?

Meanwhile you can add a callout button on dct and you can call an ipl / cgi file for performing your action. Check developer's guide for more details.

you can define the above code inside your DCT itself...

You need to take some time to let us know what actions your 'script' is required to perform.

There are two types of scripts that can be executed within the context of a DCT.

1. Client side javascript (FormAPI).
2. Server side CGI script (usually but not always perl).

Furthermore, server side scripts can be inlines or callouts.

Why don't you have the doc with you?
If you're a consultant, you should make a point of having all the docs for the products you work with, with you.
If you have access to the support site, you should download them.

Please take the time to do your own due-diligence first before posting such an overly general request for someone to spoon-feed you the code. If you take the time, you'll learn how to do it, and when you run into problems, you can post what you have and others are generally very willing to help diagnose your problem. This is vastly different than asking someone to essentially write the code for you - for free.
