How to replicate the functionality of preview button

Hi,
I need some sugg. on how to replicate the processes that are carried out by TS when we click on preview button of a DCR.
I have to create a browser to select a pre-created DCR from a directory into my main DCR.
While selecting the DCR i have to give preview of the selected DCR.
All this needs to be done usinh java/jsp.

It should be possible, but you need to pass the information like tpl file associated with this dcr, and then use http://server/iw-bin/iw_cgi_wrapper.cgi/iwtmplpreview.cgi, and then pass the parameters to this (this is the cgi which been called on click of preview)
