4000 characters limit in DD

We are having a limit for 4000 characters when sending data to SQL 2003 Server using the current DD JDBC driver version. Do you guys know if there is a way to fix this.

We are on Windows 2003, Version 6.0.2.1.0 Build 52162.

How can you say the limit of 4000 characters ? Is there any message showing the same or, what errors are you facing as of now ?

Disallowed implicit conversion from data type ntext to data type varchar, this is what i get in the log file, we just did a random test to determine 4000

May be it's not your Driver... What data types are you deploying to? I'm pretty sure that nvarchar limit is 4000 in SQL Server 2003, not sure about varchar.
SQL Server 2005 introduced the max specifier that expands storage capabilities

We are using varchar and it has a limit as the following:

Variable-length non-Unicode character data with length of n bytes. n must be a value from 1 through 8,000. Storage size is the actual length in bytes of the data entered, not n bytes. The data entered can be 0 characters in length. The SQL-92 synonyms for varchar are char varying or character varying.
