Textarea formatting

I am new to LiveSite and trying to develop some components.

I am using Textarea Datum type in one of the components and then displaying the Datum value using xsl. The text formatting which I apply to the text in the WYSIWYG editor does not reflect when I display the text in component. It displays the the html tags as it is.


Following are the details regarding this problem

Content XML:
[html][/html]

Appearance XSL:
[html][/html]

Output in component:
[html]My name is Snehasish.[/html]

The output should be:
My name is Snehasish.

Please help!
