Need to start creating templating
missp
Please help...I need to start creating some templates within Teamsite Interwoven, but don't see where that exists. Can someone direct me as to where I need to go to find "creating template?" Within the UI (user interface) where do I need to go?

There isn't a 'create template' menu item. There is a create new datacapture record item that will show up if you have TeamSite templating installed, however.
Can you explain what you are attempting to do? Have you looked at the TeamSite Templating developer's guide?

All that I can physically see on my computer is the Teamsite Interwoven application in which I deploy files.
What I need to do is to create some templates for various sections of an intranet site that needs to be updated with news articles, etc. every 2 days. I need to create the template that will allow the content manager to update these pages. How will I know if if "Teamsite Templating" is installed? I've downloaded the pdf files on "Teamsite Templating Strategies", but that is all is mentioned, strategies. I need to know where to go and find the drop-down menu that says, "create templating" or something to that effect. Please help.

You need to look at the templating developer's guide:
https://support.interwoven.com/library/manuals/templating/templating.asp
(pick the TST developers guide for your version of TeamSite).
I would also seriously suggest that you look into the templating developers classes that are offered.
By default nothing will show up in the TS gui menus that is templating related unless you have a valid templating.cfg in place in iw-home/local/config and you also have a templatedata directory structure that matches the templating.cfg configuration in your workarea.
You really should look at the templating developer's guide first though since it describes how this all works.

I wasen't able to access that url because I need some sort of username and password which is not the same that I use on this forum.
What I would really like to know in the meantime, how would I know if "Teamsite Templating" is installed on my PC? For example, I know that Microsoft Word is installed on my PC because I see it in Program Files. What would I physically need to see to let me know that "Teamsite Templating" is installed? Do I need a URL just like I needed a URL for Teamsite Interwoven?
