New Branch Addition to search server

Hi ,

I have added one branch to C:\Interwoven\TeamsiteSearch\etc\branches.cfg
to be indexed. But it is not reflecting.I am getting the following error "The branch //teamsite-dev/default/main/**** is not indexed for search" What i have to do to get it reflected?

Hi Nidhi,

It may take some time before the index manager is able to update itself for the branch to be indexed.
You can try the CLT iwndxstatus to check the status of the index manager updated with the new branch to be indexed.

If you can see the <status>11</status> in the result that implies the branch is indexed and should show in the result.

Try and tell us what value are you able to see.

I am able to create one branch now.
But still i am facing one problem. When i click on search button it send me to a page. where i put the word to be search and the creation date of file only and there is one file which has all the above values but it is returning "Your search resulted in no matches:". Where cud be the problem.

Are you able to get results with other keywords for other files ?
If not then, try running iwndxmgrstatus, it should tell you the state of your index manager, which should be ACTIVE.

also i think you have to submit the content to be searchable? when you check iwndxstatus -a -f what does it say about that branch?
