OD Admin GUI is off by an hour

and all OD deployments are off by an hour in the OD Admin GUI under the "Start" column.

I confirmed this on our Denver server as well which is MDT
Mountain Daylight Time GMT-06:00

yes all our deployments in the admin interface are off by one hour... does this mean that patch didnt work?

looking at the logs, the logs have the correct times, but the admin interface shows the wrong time.
maybe the OD admin has to be patched too?

update:
yes i run the tzupdater on the odadmin and it is not showing the correct time: with this path:

\Interwoven\AdminServer\servletd\java1.4\bin\java -jar tzupdater.jar -u -v -f -bc

also DEVNET itself needs a patch Smiley Very Happy

i edited this T 10.5 pst BUT IT WILL SHOW 9.05 pst LOL Smiley Happy

I'm seeing the same thing for OD 5.6.0.1.0 (yes we will be upgrading soon). I'm also seeing that the logs show the wrong timestamp as well as the Admin console.

I'm wondering of upgrading to 6.7 is the only fix?!

there is 6.1 and i think i f u r not on java 1.4.x there is no fix for it but to upgrade, i have teamsite 5.5.2 and it is not updated bc it s using 1.3.x

Well, what do you know.... same here. The logs are off by an hour.

I upgraded to 6.1.1 and applied the DST patch from Interwoven.

Here is my version info from the Base Server.

Version: 6.1.1.0.0 Build 63840 Interwoven 20070214

Dissappointing, I had to submit install requests and get the patch certified by our IT team and now I might have to do it all over again if Interwoven supplies another patch.

Hi,

Which logs are off by an hour? and which patch was applied? In addition to the OD patch that was released, you also need to patch the JVM on your server.

Also - did you patch your receiver as well? Not patching the receiver can result in some logs being off by an hour.

Logs are not off the GUI is off. Yes all recievers have been patched although I don't see how that could effect the Admin GUI

Same as ProfessorX, I upgraded all things OpenDeploy (clients, base, admin) to 6.1.1 and applied the DST patch (IWOVopendeploy.6.1.1.0.0.P1.Build63840.Windows.exe) to the same.

I did not run tzupdater.jar as the patch was supposed to alleviate that.

I just checked my java version from a command prompt and it was using 1.3.1 from an Oracle installation path. I placed the path to the newer 1.4 in front of it and restarted the OpenDeploy service. But the log is still off. I might restart the server and see if that helps.

Is there a way to figure out which version of Java OpenDeploy is seeing?

Hi,

6.1.1 fixes a command line scheduler issues related to Daylight Savings issues, but it didn't include a java patch or updater. You will still need to run the tzupdater provided by Sun.

Sun just modified this patch last Thursday, so if you previously patched your JVM with the Sun tzupdater, you have to re-run the updater again.

I searched for every java.exe on my system and ran the tzupdater against everyone and also tested with my TestTime app and now the logs are working correctly.

Another note. My deployment log is a mix match of different results, some entries off by an hour, some not.

I believe that one set of messages is coming from a Java layer and another set of messages is coming from a C++ layer (both are used in OD) - and it looks like one part is fixed and the other is not.

I suggest you contact Support - with that log file extract - and see if they can provide an authoritative (and hopefully more detailed) explanation.
