Locking Issue

Hi,

I have one question regarding the File locking and unlocking after deployment.

I am using Interwoven 6.5

I have explained my scenario below.

I have a editor1 test.html is locked under editor1. editor1 creates the workflow to deploy the files to production.Once the file is approved by webmaster1 the files are deployed to production.But in the Teamsite System the file test.html which is locked previously by editor1 is now automatically locked under webmaster1 and now editor1 is not able to edit the file.

Why my system automatically locks the file under webmaster.

I want the files to be locked under editor1 after deployment also.

Can you post your code which is getting executed after approval... I guess it would be some external task in workflow... ??

usually Iwov workflows do unlock files on submit.

Have you modified the workflows somehow? In any case, you should check the WFT to see which task keeps locks (unless you unlock programatically, which does not seem to be the case).

Actually i did not change any program.

I read through the Interwoven Manuals.I came to know there are three types of file Locking. They are Submit, optional and Mandatory.

But i really dont understand how this locks work with workflow.

Kindly explain how this three type of lock work with workflow in layman terms

In my Teamsite Server we are using Submit Lock.
