Media Bin Server is hanging

Hi,

When try to preview the media files in the windows media player, the media bin server gets hanged. I am not able to preview the media files like .wmv, .mpeg etc...

Then i restarted the IIS server, after that only i can able to login into the media bin server.

Any suggestion from your side, Why the media bin server was hanged?

If you haven't already, you should open an Interwoven Support Case with Interwoven Product Support. It would be very helpful if you could try restarting the MediaBin server WITHOUT restarting IIS to determine if the problem is with the MediaBin web client (hosted by IIS) or with MediaBin server.
Restarting IIS will close tcp/ip connection(s) to MediaBin server which could reset the server. So it's impossible to tell the origin of the problem unless you try both cases.

To be clear, when you say the MediaBin server has hanged, have you tried logging in via an alternate browser session? Via the Windows Native Client?

Support will definitely want to see the server MBP.log and possibly based on what is in there the net.log (they will step you through turning that one on via the registry).
