Unlocking Files

I have a few files that I can not unlock. I have logged in as a Master if I run "View\List Locks" select the files I get a screen that states the files as not being locked. I can successfully unlock other files that are locked. The file list displayed in by the list locks and file(s) I have tried to unlock are in the same workarea.

Does the master user belong to the group for sharing in the workarea?

We have the same issue sometimes in my company. Actually, we have an open case with IW (and have for a while) about this same issue. In fact, we see this same thing manifest itself sometimes during rename and delete.
What happens for us is that we get the message "Cannot unlock file - file not locked" and then it actually does unlock/rename/delete the file.
I think you should open a case.

Actually this is very common. Usually it will occur from a user deleting a locked file. The backing store for some reason will report it is still locked. Or if a locked file is renamed this can occur. Also make sure you do not use special characters inside of file names. This will cause major locking problems.

I'd consider this to be a bug as the lock should prevent any changes to the file.

Being able to edit a file in workarea A, that is locked in workarea B is how 'submit' locking is intended to work.
