about validating the width in a form

hi,

there is a container name=columns with max=3

in that container first there is an item name= width

which has a max limit of 800

Suppose if in the form entry 3 columns are selected then the width should be validated in such a way that total should not be more than 800 no matter one column can take more width than other but the total should not be more than 800

and than after that ther is one more container name=content

In that the item name= text,
item name= graphic
then container content closes

and finally container columns closes.

I need to know how can the width be validated depending upon the how many columns selected

Please post the datacapture code and also Presentation template code

Please read the FormAPI manual and try coding it yourself first - then you can post your code and others can critique it.
