Error while editing a file !!!

Ambuj

Hi,

When I'm trying to edit any particular file in a workarea it gives below error.

*******************************************

Error downloading file C:\......\main.css from Teamsite server:

Error Length Required connecting to 'http://bocwebts.group.boc.com/iw-cc/launchhpad/download'

********************************************

I'm using Teamsite 6.5 on Windows environment. I have Master level access to this server.

Do you have any idea about this error?

Thanks & Regards,
Nitesh Ambuj

Just check if it is a Teamsite generated file or not, seems not.

What is the difference in both cases?

Could you please check on the following:

1. If you can edit other files except for your main.css. If yes, then the issue is with your JVM/JRE. I hope you are using JRE 1.4.

2. If the issue is only with this particular file... then please check the properties of the file... as might be it does get properly imported or generated.

I'm facing the same problem with all other files as well.

Still you have not mentioned the HRE/JVM version you are using on. If it is not JRE 1.4, better upgrade of degrade it to the same version.

Apart from that ... as you mention you are on Windows platform, just delete you IWTEMP folder under your C;\ drive and re-launch your launchpad.

I'm using JRE of v.1.4.2_03.. if the problem is because of this please let me know which version I should install?

To get rid of the problem as of now... use windows technique to delete your C:\IWTEMP folder and re-launch your launch pad by downloading any file to your local machine.

I didn't install any service pack or patch but regular windows update happened last week.... how it can cause this problem.. ??

I guess the Java Plug-in installed seems to be of version v1.5.0_xx , which is not compatible with TeamSite 6.5SP2.
so as a result the launchpad Applet doesn't work , when attempting to edit non-templated files. What you can do is to have Sun's Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2_xx installed.
