callout element ts 5.5.2 --> ts 6.7.1

Hi all,

I'm working for a TeamSite migration from 5.5.2 to 6.7.1

I have a DCT with the following callout element:

[/html]
I know that the callout element has a different syntax in TS 6.7.1. How can I "export" this tag in the new DCT?

The callout element in 67x has 3 attributes: label, url, window-features.

The java-class callout was deprecated a long time ago when IWOV realized that the Java Templating GUI didn't perform well enough to maintain it. Even if you look at the 5.5.2 manual it shows:[indent][html]

[/html][/indent]
(interestingly enough, the 6.7x manual indicates that cgi-callout is now deprecated in favor of callout)

You will have to manually edit your DCTs where you use callout and adjust it to use the attributes that exist. Having not used java callouts personally, I'm not sure what the correct way is to map what you have to what you need - perhaps someone else here (Klish?) can provide the transitional information?

What we did was add the Java components to the Content Center customer toolkit and make reference to them in the web.xml file. Then from within your template callout elements you would just provide the url to the (in most cases) Java servlet you were trying to call as defined in the web.xml file.
