ReadRoleFile Failed to open

Just ran across an interesting error and am wondering if anyone has any ideas as to its cause.

Suddenly, at 2:06 PM, users working in TeamSite were asked to log in again. Subsequently, all users who attempted to login again received the following error :

No Such TeamSite User

This happened to all users and roles. Checking iwtrace, we found the following entries :

[Tue Mar 20 14:06:48 2007] ReadRoleFile Failed to open /app/interwoven/TeamSite/conf/roles/editor.uid - errno = 24
[Tue Mar 20 14:06:48 2007] ReadRoleFile Failed to open /app/interwoven/TeamSite/conf/roles/author.uid - errno = 24
[Tue Mar 20 14:06:48 2007] ReadRoleFile Failed to open /app/interwoven/TeamSite/conf/roles/od-admin.uid - errno = 24
[Tue Mar 20 14:06:48 2007] ReadRoleFile Failed to open /app/interwoven/TeamSite/conf/roles/od-user.uid - errno = 24
[Tue Mar 20 14:06:48 2007] ReadRoleFile Failed to open /app/interwoven/TeamSite/conf/roles/content-provider.uid - errno = 24
[Tue Mar 20 14:06:48 2007] ReadRoleFile Failed to open /app/interwoven/TeamSite/conf/roles/syndication-admin.uid - errno = 24

All of these files exist and were accessible (set to 775, TeamSite as owner).

While we looked a little deeper, TeamSite suddenly started to allow users to log in again.

While I was writing this post, to see if someone knew what was going on, a call has come in indicating that the problem is back.

Anyone have any ideas?
