Cross platform OD deployments.

we are in the process of planning for upgrade of TS&OD. presently we are in Solaris 8, looking to move to Linux. We have deployments made from TS to commerce server/App.servers in the present environment. The app.servers and commerce (IBM WSCommerce 6.0) run on solaris 8. The question I have in my mind is will an openDeploy deployments possible between multiple cross platform OS? from linux (base) to receivers in Windows and Solaris machines?

any thoughts - most welcome.

Sure that is supported and very common. Since you are going from Unix to DOS, you are safe from most case sensitive issues with one exception, if, in Unix you have a file Foo and foo in the same dir, the deployment will fail since they will both go to FOO.

Going from DOS to Unix is much worse since your URL may be Foo and file foo, which works in DOS but will fail in Unix.
