Error while selecting a file in Browse window

Hi,

I'm using a cross branch browsing and I got this code from devnet.

But this code is giving me some problem.

The code I'm using is below:



window.open('/iw-cc/command/iw.formspub.browse_for_link?vpath='+x_vpath+'&ceiling='+x_ceiling+'&show_thumbnail=true&hier_callbac k=eval(callback_81=function(path){opener.parent.ge tScriptFrame().doBrowseCallBack("'+x_itemName+'",path)})','Browse','scrollbars=yes,width=600,heigh t=500');

the error i'm getting is below:

Line: 535
Char: 17
Error: Expected';'
Code:0
URL:http://seukbiwts01.uk.gases.boc.com/iw-cc/command/iw.formspub.browse_for_link

I guess it's some java script error but I'm not able to find it from above code. Please have a look if you could find anything.

I'm not sure it's the source of this problem - but you do seem to have some white-space in your window.open() call within the DCT you posted - which I'm pretty sure cannot be due to the forum software - e.g.:

...hier_callbac k=eval...

and

...opener.parent.getScr iptFrame()...

Spaces are not the problem... Even after removing the space.. it's giving the same error...

Your vpath and ceiling variables are out of lexical scope when you call window.open.
Move declarations up and delete 'var' from case clauses

function doBrowse(itemObject) {
  var itemName = itemObject.getName();
  var itemNameMatch = itemName.replace( /\[[0-9]*\]/gi, "");
  var vpath;
  var ceiling;

  switch( itemNameMatch ) {
    case '/BrowseOne':
      vpath = '/default/main/linde/gce/gce_internet/WORKAREA/default/gce_internet';
      ceiling = '/default/main/linde/gce/gce_internet/WORKAREA/default/gce_internet/images';
      break;
  . . .
  }

  window.open(...);

Little side note: code indentation is your friend
