TeamSite Tomcat classpath issue.

I was able to run the web application successfully but when trying to integrated with TeamSite Apache Tomcat webserver I am getting this error. The web application couldn't find the correct cssdksoap.jar file. I have added this library to iw-home/local/config/lib/content_center/customer_scr/lib directory. I am hoping that all the libraries added to the lib directory are available for the application. Do I need to set the classpath explicitly for UI customizations.

Root cause:
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.interwoven.cssdk.factory.CSSOAPFactory

Environment:
TeamSite Version 6.1
OS: Solaris 5.8

Are you deploying your web application into the same instance of tomcat that Content Center is running on? Is this just a ui customization, or a full blown app? The cssdksoap.jar is only needed if you are running your app on a server besides the teamsite server.

I am deploying to the same tomcat instance that TeamSite (server1) uses. Its a separated web application by itself. I am using cssdksoap.jar to talk to a separated TeamSite (server2) server to query the workflow repository. After rebuilding the UI on server1 I can see cssdksoap.jar file in iw-home/httpd/content_center/WEB-INF/lib directory.

If it is a separate web application then that jar needs to be either included in the war file for your separate app, or added to the common/lib section of the tomcat instance so it will be seen by your web app.

Yes it is a separate web application, but I wanted to integrate this application with TeamSite content center. All libraries in web application folder WEB-INF/lib should be added to the classpath by default by any j2ee web application server.

I could able to run the customer.tk.war web app that is build by running make_toolkit.ipl file on my local Tomcat web appliaction.

putting the jar file in $CATALINA_HOME/common/lib might help.

I could able to CSSDK JNI library "cssdkiface.jar" in the same web application. But I get "java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.interwoven.cssdk.factory.CSSOAPFactory" exception when using CSSDK SOAP library "cssdksoap.jar" file. Both these libraries or jar files reside in the same directory i.e iw-home/httpd/webapps/content_center/WEB-INF/lib.

I am also getting this error
"javax.xml.rpc.ServiceException: java.net.MalformedURLException: unknown protocol: https" do I need to enable SSL protocol for Apache TeamSite server.

No. TeamSite 6.1 ships with Java JRE 1.3 which didn't include SSL support by default. You need to add the JSSE module from sun's website to your teamsite java installation for https urls to work. This can be done, but starts to look more like why are you trying to use the same tomcat instance, instead of creating your own. I suspect what you are trying to do would not be a "supported" configuration by Interwoven.

The reason I want to integrate with TeamSite is to use the authentication module to allow only users that are logged in currently with a valid session. I have also tried adding cssdksoap.jar file to TeamSite Tomcat web server common/lib directory and it did not work.
