Very large deployment, is there a package option possible

We have a very big site to rollout about (29 GB) to our new servers. It is taking several hours and finally we had failed. Is there anything like packaged deployment.

I saw a KB article which can be used for packaged deployment. However that article asks to use iwdeploy command which I dont find in $odhome/bin. I think that command belongs to older OD. Is there anything equvivalnt in OD 5.6.1 please.

Another I saw is to use a self deploy with DNR command to create a tar file. Then move and extract manually on the target.

Any other ideas most welcome.

"package" deployments were from OD 4.x (and perhaps earlier).

What's the source platform for the deployment?
What's the target platform for the deployment?

If you're using Unix for both source and target - you could roll everything into one or more gzip'd tar-****, deploy them and use a DNR script on the other side to expand them (and get rid of the tar-**** - since from that point on you should be doing file deployments - right?)

On Windows I'm not sure if there is an equivalent without introducing Unix-style commands (e.g. Cygwin or similar).
