Maximum characters in a Text Field

Hi,

I have a clarification if there is any limitation for the number of characters in a text field. Currently in the TeamSite 6.5 system we are not able to enter more than 299 characters. We have set no limits in the DCT.

I have not heard of this earlier, however if we intend to have those many characters, we usually use textarea instead of textbox.

I have not come across any limitation for characters in text field. My below code for 400 characters is working fine...

I would suggest to give the maxlength in stead of leaving it blank.
