Service Unavailable Error

Hi all,

I have installed teamsite 6.5.0. All the services are up an running. However, i am facing an issue. Whenever i click on some content file i get a error message that says "Service Unavailable".

Can anyone let me know if i have missed some step in configuration or is there some other reason behind this error.

Have you migrated your content from any previous version or it's a newly created content??

it is a newly created content. I have just uploaded a test file to one of the workareas, and when i click on the file, the new browser window throws up this error.

Did you configure a customer web server on your TS server?

iw-home\iw-perl\bin\perl iw-home\install\tspostreboot.pl iw-home IIS

It looks like you are running on Windows (You did not indicate directly)
Check if services "Interwoven Servlet Engine" and "Interwoven Web Daemon" have been started successfully.

Are you sure that IIS is installed and running on the server?
Just telling tspostreboot.pl to do the IIS configuration modifications for TeamSite doesn't make it install and initiate IIS for you.

Are you trying to edit files or are you trying to view them? Which file specifically are you clicking on? Is it happening for all the files?

If you are trying to view then its your IIS problem and not TS problem..Configure your IIS again. also make sure TSMP_.. something (dun have access to windows system) user is created on your server.. In the absence of the user, you will not be able to view any files from your CCI

This issue usually crops up while installing TS 6.7.1 on Win 2003K server. Guess the automatic mapping of IIS with TS through the installation console is creating the issue.

I tried updating IIS as per the recommendations provided in the Microsoft support site but that hasn't solved the issue. Check out the article link for the same:

"Service Unavailable" from the CC Pro/Std while trying to preview a page/file is a IIS Error and has nothing to do with Teamsite .Point your browser to "http://:81" and you should get the same error(hopefully).

You first need to ensure that IIS(I assume its configured for Teamsite already) is running and serving pages(html,asp ) outside teamsite.You can verify this by trying to browse the default website or the iw-mount(If it exists) from IIS Service Manager .

There are multiple reasons for a "Service Unavailable" Error from IIS especially now with the .Net framework+Ajax stuff+Patches that IIS6 requires to serve pages(asp/net etc):
