How to get dcrtype in metadata datacapture.cfg?

Hi!

We are using OD 6.1.1, TS 6.5.
Is there a way to get the type of the dcr in metadata capture, datacapture.cfg, when a user select a DCT and then click on File->Tag.

We are interseted of knowing the type of dct in datacapture.cfg file and not
by putting the validation in metadata_rulset.cfg file.

Can you elaborate a bit? What does it mean "knowing the type of dct in datacapture.cfg"? Knowing it where?

In 6.5 MDCT does not support FormAPI, so you are not talking FormAPI code. Do you mean MDCT inline command code?

Either write a custom Metadata CGI that will extract the DCR type by running iwextattr or use Metatagger's pre-processor group to grab the value.

I believe it requires at least 6.5SP2 + blackpatch (which I believe was incorporated in SP3) and doing a cgi-callout as opposed to an inline.

Alternatively - you need a wrapper script.
