Group for sharing

Hi,

Does anyone know whether there is a clt for adding groups for sharing (ts groups) so that this process can be automated ?

The reason being that we are upgrading the TS enviroment from TS 6.1 (win) to TS 6.7.1 and in that process also swapping from OS groups to TS groups.

Is there an approach (clt, script) to achieve this or is it manual work, since we have a lot of subbranches with different groups.

Are you talking about creating and managing the membership of groups -- iwgroup or associating groups for branches and workareas ?

I did not find the "iwaccess" command usage anywhere in the CLT Doc or Support site. Please elaborate on the same.

I am also running into a situation wherein we need to actually do something like a setfacl (sure not applicable to IW Store) in solaris to let the branches\ workareas share TS groups and OS groups together. Is that possible using iwaccess? Just Curious?

I found it in ts.670.clt.unix.pdf, as we are on Unix. I am too lazy to look at the equivalent Windows doc for you though :rolleyes:

Hi,

I am not sure about your requirements but think this will help.

For access on branches and workarea in 6.7.1.
Just run "iwaccess help" on command line, this will give you all possible options you can play around with.

"iwgroup" command for adminstration of groups in teamsite.

I don't really feel like searching for it right now - but I posted a fairly lengthy thread on the topic of migrating from OS to TS groups (on Solaris) a while back (like 2 years or so) - If you can find it - hopefully it will help you.

And yes - we used iwidmap to migrate from one to the other.
