As you asked i have run the following command in the cmd prompt and below is the output of it. C:\>dir c:\iw-home\iw-perl\bin\iwperl* Volume in drive C has no label. Volume Serial Number is A0E7-3D7C Directory of c:\iw-home\iw-perl\bin03/27/2007 06:53p 0 iwperl02/24/2000 04:38a 3,072 iwperl.exe04/05/2007 11:01a 1,544 iwperl.pid 3 File(s) 4,616 bytes 0 Dir(s) 12,859,846,656 bytes freeC:\> Now the externaltask used for sending mail is going on and it is not hanging.The problem was solved by changing the path of execution from c:\iw-home\iw-perl\bin\iwperl to c:\iw-home\iw-perl\bin\iwperl.exe.Now the task goes fine but no mails are send.Suggest me in solving this issue.

The workflow "author_assignment_with_email.wft" which iam using is provided by the teamsite itself is present inside wft folder.Here iam passing all the necessary inputs for the workflow but it does not work fine.I guess the problem may be because in my system it doesn't recognize iwperl as the .exe file and i have to explicitly specify as iwperl.exe wherever iam in need of executing a perl file.Could you suggest anything for it.Gomathy
