I need an idea here, how can i give access to "Administrator" ( TeamSite admin role user) working in ABC branch to execute a perlscript when ever he want from a TeamSite GUI? My thoughtsDoing some UI customization and create a link which would run the script, but this cannot be restricted to a branch and role.Creating CGI script which will run the perl script. But for this i have to create a DCT with one field and a button? Well it is kind of stupid for a Manager who is a TeamSite user, he would call me stupid for doing so, because he has to create/Edit a Template to run script everytime.I cannot give him access to Box so that he can run a scheduled task on the box.So any Intelligent solution for this please. Thanks
Create a group of all users who are authorised to run the CGI script and using custom UI create a menu item linking to the script.Within the CGI script check if the logon user is a member of that group execute the script further else... show him an error message "You are not authorised!!"
Just spell authorized correctly. :-)
Thanks Andy, however the spelling is only incorrect as per US English.
Isn't "US English" kind of an oxymoron? (and no - I'm not calling anyone a moron --- yet ;-)
Hi Adam,Even i think so... but sometimes while writing, a person can make mistake but then the other person should not highlight the thing which is not absolutely incorrect for everyone.
