Multistore-can I put stores on different machines?

Can I put different stores on physically different machines outside the TS Server (accessable by TS)? Or do all stores have to reside on the same machine as the TS Server? If not can they be on different drives?

I haven't tried to put a store on a different machine but in theory it should work. As long as TS can see that drive it should work out no problem.
What I do have experience with is a Storage Area Network. But a SAN drive (on Win2K) shows up as, say, F:. But not as a mapped drive, but as an actual physical drive. It basically fools the machine. And I have been able to put backingstores on this drive no problem.

Yes this is not a problem - you can have different backing stores on different machines. However note that there is an additional license cost for each additional backing store you use - think around 25,000 Euros
