Can I mask my LiveSite 3.0 Install from TeamSite users?

TeamSite 6.7.1 & LiveSite 3.0

I want to install LiveSite 3.0 on my TeamSite 6.7.1 install but I ONLY want the new LiveSite 3.0 interface available to 30 of my 600 users. I want the rest of my users (570) to ONLY see the original TeamSite 6.7.1 Install and not the LiveSite install.

This way we can roll out LiveSite 3.0 to each department as needed and not confuse the other departments about a functionality they will never use.

Is this possible?

What do you mean? Are you talking about the New Page, New Component menu items and the LiveSite menu and Site Map tab ?

I believe there are permissions in the Role configuration where you can remove all LS permissions and the users won't be able to perform these functions.

We only want about 3% of our users to see the LiveSite interface changes in TeamSite. We need the other 97% of our users to not see any changes in TeamSite (mostly so they don't call support asking what these 'new' features are! Smiley Very Happy

so:
97% of our users don't see ANY changes to their TeamSite environment.
3% of the users can see TeamSite and LiveSite.

Is this possible?

Ok so from what I understand you want to hide the Livesite tab ,branch & UI operations in CCPro/Std UI from the rest of 97% users .
Is that what you want to do ?

In LS30/TS671 some control is possible at a Role level not at user/group Level OOB.You can revoke the "livesite" permissions for a role .Then these users will not be able to see the Livesite Menus & Tabs .
CCPro--->Admin Tab--->Manage Roles --->Livesite permissions

Else on a Dev/Test Box create a new role and add all your only livesite users to it and revoke the "livesite" permissions for rest of the roles .
