Passing variables to tpl

Thaks in advance. I am trying to pass a value from the iwsend.ipl to the mail tpl used in the iwsend.iplfile. Can anyone tell me the method of passing the value to the tpl?

iwsend_mail.ipl does not use PTs - iw_solution_mail.ipl does.
Both of them work with job and task level variables
For iwsend_mail.ipl, you would probably have to make a copy of the script and modify the copy to access custom variables.
For iw_solution_mail.ipl you would need to write your own custom PTs to use with it.
