Japanese Characters corrupt in DeskSite 8.2

Hi,

Japanese characters are not showing up correctly in desksite in the description field. However if i click on a file and select properties - the japanese characters show up correctly.

In FileSite - the characters show up correctly - however in the profile information it does not.

I am using DeskSite 8.2 P2 and FileSite 8.2 P2.

Steps i have taken
1. Installed Additional language packs - Asian language packs
2. Change regional option to from AUS to Japan
2. Set language for non-unicode applications to use Japanese

Is there anything else i should do ??
