Running OpenDeploy 6.1 on UNIX as Non-Root

Has anybody got this config. to run?

My impression from looking at the lack of any info on non-root installs is that noone has got this to work, and my own experience w/ TS is that you shouldn't try anything that's not the default.

Let me know if my assumptions are incorrect. Would like to hear from people who've got this working.

I have done this on DOS with non-Admin accounts, but never had the need to try it on Unix.

Have you tried it ? It is supported.

We had tried it on Solaris but we could not start OD as non root user on system reboot. Interwoven has recognized this as a bug. Otherwise OpenDeploy runs fine with a non root user.

What error are you getting ?

This is (supposedly) fixed in 6.2 SP1. I just ran into this whole issue, called Support and got this info.

odd... I know we're supposed to have OD 6.1.1 receiver non root on AIX. Other people have set this up, so I'm not entirely familiar with the details.

We used to have OD 5.5 also as non-root, and that one did give us major headaches on reboot, but it might have been misconfigured at our side.
