.MOV files not shwing a preview in MediaBin

We cannot see a preview of any .mov movies loaded in to media bin. We have quiktime installed on the server. Is there something else we need to do in order to preview these files?

We are using mediaBin version 4.5.3

Are the assets showing up as asset type "QuickTime" or asset type "Non-image" (that's one of the metadata fields)? When the insertion job completes, does it indicate that there are job messages (in the job history), and if so what messages do you get?

The asset type shows up as a non-image.

I do not see any messages relating to this insertion/upload

You should open a support case for this. Apparently the files are not be recognized as QT files (we do not primarily rely on extension).
