Siteminder Integration with TeamSite 6.7
Mashuk
Hi,
We are trying to integrate Siteminder with Teamsite 6.7 on a Solaris 9 environment. We are following the approach highlighted in the ts.671.sup.pdf document. We are implementing 'Integrating Siteminder and Teamsite without an Active Response'
In the installation instructions, it mentions that we should install the V5QMR7 Siteminder web agent. However our guys have installed the next version of the web agent rather than the one stated in the installation guide. The reason for this is that our guys have noticed that Siteminder support for V5QMR7 expires in 2008 and would rather install a version which is supported for a longer period of time. However at present the webagent is not intercepting the teamsite request and replacing the teamsite login screen with the siteminder one.
So therefore could the root problem come down to the fact that we have installed a different version of the web agent rather than the one specified in the document? Apologies that I don't have any other server and software details to hand at this moment in time.
Thanks in advance
Mashuk

wich version have you installed?.
Sounds more to me like a config problem than a compatibility one.Does webd crashes?any chances to see the logs?is there any error mesages in the logs?

Have installed the V5QMR7 web agent now on Teamsite 6.7.1, but still having problems with the webagent intercepting the teamsite url. All standard log files seem to be ok. The siteminder troubleshooting section of the ts6.7.1 supplementary guide mentions something about the LLAWP failing to start.
We noticed that the LLAWP service is not running after we have completed the configurations. We assumed that by adding the siteminder config entry in the iwwebd.conf file, the LLAWP service should automatically start after an iwreset -ui. But that has not been the case.
Is there anyone out there who has actually implemented the siteminder teamsite integration without the active response module on the siteminder policy server?
Thanks

Got this to work eventually, although we did need to install the patch TS6.7.1_P3_Solaris as there is a bug in the default teamsite installation as teamsite was unable to read http header variables.
