Query about New Metadata added to Search

Nidhi_Agrawal

Hi,

TS 6.5

I can see my older files when i searched using teamsite search.
But i am not able to see the latest files which i have recently created and submitted.
From manual i found that it takes some time for the new files.
How much time it takes generally to consider new files for search and also i want to know the exact step I shud follow to make search working properly.

I am doing the following step right now:
1) Creating file in workarea
2) Calling a workflow which adds the metadata to the selected files.
3) Submiting the files to staging area
4) Afrer that i am looking for the search.

Please suggest me if i am doing wrong or some more steps are needed.
Is it rrequire to do restart the search and index services for that?

Arrange for the database and get eventSubstem up and working in order to make arrangements for the submit events being delivered to search.

Else
Run refreshbr CLT every time u submit a file.

I have tried to run this still I am facing the same problem.
Only four older files are able to get searched for the new added metadata.

Tried what ? eventSubsystem or refreshBranch.
Just purge the old branch and index again to verify the settings.
