Invoke browser through workflow!!!

Hi All,

TS-6.7.1,win2k3

I need to open a browser in a workflow. I have used an external task to do the same. When i try to run that ipl file separately, it opens the browser correctly but if i try the same through workflow as an external command its failing.Attached my workflow and the ipl file.

Kindly throw some light on this.

external tasks are non-interactive - if you need a browser window to open you need a cgitask

As said, I modified my workflow and tried it as a cgi task but in vain.

Correct me if im going wrong..attached my new wft file and the cgi file and do tell me if my cgi file is correct as i have just started working on these.

Have you tried Win32: Smiley Frustrated

LE; or you can even use the rundll32 to launch a browser.
like:

On windows, you can run a browser with - 'iexplore http://www.urltoopen.com'

You have no idea about CGI Tasks ( or CGI protocol for that matter ), have you? What does browser invoked
on the Server have in common with the browser on your Client's desktop?

Re-read WF Manual and consult the TS CGI Sample - or hire somebody who knows this stuff
