There's nothing like set of questionnares to be asked.. It depends on what kind of project it is and what is the scope of the project... It's better if you consult any specialist for requirement elicitation and project planning...

By transist teamsite project you mean the project work (new developments) or support work, if support (that most likely the work which get transitioned) for that you need to understand their current enviornment, there teamsite structure, issues that are generally supported and what kind of expertise they are looking for the resource for this kind of work.

Few question would be very important for support project.

What level of support (first level , second level or both) first would be helping content authors contact your team for any issue, even if as simple as how to use a particular template. Second level will be actuall issues in the currently functionality (which need to be fixed)
Also check how stable is the current setup, it should not be case that you support something is falling apart and your team is doing work which should have been done by the original development team.
How many site you need to support
What all is in support, is server admin also part of support
What is in-scope and what is out-scope of the support work

What you mentioned is the typical support project outsource model, with regard to sability, there must be someone who is supporting the system currently, check the number issues they are handling and the complexity of the issues.

Also suggest involve some experienced Teamsite resource (you must be having one if you are going in for take up this project) so that can guide better.

Hi,

Few points that might help you:

- What's the OS on which TS is installed
- What's the TS version
- How many concurrent site/branches are there to be manage
- What all templates/DCR are there and how dynamic they are (perl used in the templates)
- Number of TS users
- Production server details (Would be required for OD configuration and details)
- Though the server would be administer by other team, but the Teamsite application backend would be managed by your team I believe.
- It will be good if you can get the Technical architecture document or SRS of the existing application for your team, otherwise they will have hard time to understand the application flow
- What's the output of the TS application. Just HTML or XML/JSP. Otherwise with TS team you would need a Java resource as well.
- Get your TS developers in touch with the person at customer's end who was managing the application.
