Desing of Teamsite Directory structure

Hi,

Can any one guide me for designing the Teamsite directory structure.

We are integrating a new Web site in the Teamsite. The Website is having country/region base web pages. For each country there is a separate folder in the root. Each country site is maintained by different agency.
I have a following questions:
1) can i create a sub-branch for each country? Will it be useful to manage the permission?
2) What should be the ideal desing of the Teamsite directories for this senario?

The answer is, It Depends.

These type of questions do not lend themselves well to a 30 second sound bite or a short post on a BBS. I typically spend 1-2 weeks on site designing a branching structure.

I certainly hope there is someone on site with a great deal more experience in TeamSite. Otherwise, tell your boss to bring someone in to help. I have seen some bad branching structures and the extremely poor results from bad decisions that were made.

Its better to hire an Architect for the job, being regret later due to expandibility of the branching structure.

As suggested above it's always better to consult an architect for this job... You have to think about your current as well as future scope / limitations of your system / website.....

As far as your above requirement is concern....

1) If the country/region webpages are not related to each other and managed by different agencies then in that case you can have different sub-branches for each country... There will be different set of users for each sub-branch and you will have to manage your users/permissions accordingly...

2) There's nothing called ideal design as it always depends upon your requirement, scope and usability...

Well, a sub-branch acts exactly like a branch.. the division is made to organize your applications in a systematic manner... Now the decision to create a sub-branch depends on your requirement...
