Hi All,

we're now in process to update our current Teamsite version 6.5 based on Windows to 6.7.1 SP1 based on Linux, therefor we hope to find here a community to share experiences and recommendations, feel free to send me comments.

I have a dev instance of Linux running 6.7.1

It is working very nicely but being a dev instance, It does not get overloaded. I have not upgraded to SP1 yet since i have seen issues with my DOS SP1.

I guess you are to run on 64-bit Opteron server? If so, this is a first oficial release of TeamSite to run on a 64 bit Linux.don't forget to download appropriate uvfs from Sourcefourge.

Since you are moving platforms, many of your scripts need to be at least audited (and most likely, changed, unless you were writing portable code everywhere). Also, because your workflows were probably based on Windows groups, their scripts will need to be changed to take care of TeamSite groups - that I strongly reccomend you to start using.

1. Do you use TeamSite 6.7.1 with or without Service Pack 1?
2. Which version of RHEL 4 do yo use? Entry Server (ES) or Advanced Server (AS) ?
3. Which version of TeamSite and which Operating System did you use before you changed to TS 6.7.1 on Linux?
4. Why did you change to TeamSite on Linux?

Hardware:

x. How many CPU's or (more general) Core's do you have?
x. What amount of RAM do you have installed?
x. Do you use a local disks or do you SAN-solution? If local, do you use a RAID-configuration?

Installation:

x. Did you experience any problems during the installation of TeamSite on Red Hat?
x. Did you migrate a backing-store from an old TeamSite-Version? If yes, could you please describe shortly how did you do that? Did you experience any problems?

Running TeamSite and Maintenance:

x. Did you ever had to restart the TeamSite-Server because of a problem? If yes, could please describe the problem(s) shortly?
x. How big is your backing store? Do you use more than one?
x. How many branches do you have in your currrent TeamSite-Environment?
x. How many users have access to TeamSite and use it?

User Management:

x. Do you use LDAP for the user management? If yes, which product do you use?
x. How is the procedure when adding new users to TeamSite? Do you first create the user on OS-Level and then add him/her to TeamSite?
x. Do you use TeamSite groups? If yes, do you have nested groups (groups in groups) ?

Interwoven Support:

x. Did you ever had an issue with TeamSite on Linux where you had to contact Interwoven Support? If yes, did they react fast and competent?
