Dd Error When Deploying With Blob

Hi

I am using teamsite 5.5. When i tried to run a dd I got the error
"NullPointerException occured: null
Error occured in TDbAgent: Smiley Tongue

rocessClobForOracle()"

One column in datacapture is BLOB but when we change everything to LONG it started working.
But we want to have column as BLOB

Please help/suggest.

TeamSite 5.5 ? Can you check that ? That is so old, I will be surprised if anyone can help.

What rev of DataDeploy ? What OS ? What level of Oracle ? Are you using JDBC to get to Oracle or are you using the Oracle client ?

IIRC, there was an issue with DD 5.6 using the JDBC connections to Oracle and CLOBs. Some issue with the JDBC driver. I had to use the Oracle client instead. But again that was 4 years ago.

Yes we have to use TS5.5 and solve this error too..

DataDeploy Version 5.6.0 Build 19499 Interwoven 20030506
Driver Oracle JDBC driver Version 8.1.7.2.0
Oracle Version : Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.6.0 - Production
TNS for Solaris: Version 9.2.0.6.0 - Production
OS VERSION: Solaris Version 9.0

Please help us.

You are not likely going to get much help.

Your release of TS and DD was released in about 2002. IWOV does not support it anymore. You really must upgrade.

I have no idea if that rev of DD is even compatible with your version of Oracle or JDBC.

According to the DD 5.6.0 manual - it only supports Oracle 8i
Whether or not it will work with a later version of Oracle and (perhaps) later drivers is pretty much anyone's guess - but it's even "less" supported than DD 5.6 ...
