Hi

Does anyone know how we could have thumbnails or low resolution images (that retain original image length x width ratios) from mediabin retain the clipping path for jpegs or transparency information for png files. Currently we have an issue on our system where the low res previews loose this information.

Currently thumbnail images are produced by a special-purpose primitive and assumed to be for display purposes. While it should be relatively easy to produce a custom retrieval task that would give you essentially the same size image as the thumbnails, the thumbnails themselves do not contain much of any metadata (they are primarily intended to be small!).

Also, JPEG's do not normally contain transparency information and so you would probably want the original PNG possibly resized.
