Deploying files from Edition

When i compared the current Edition and Previous edition it was showing difference in file data in one of the folder say x folder.
I deployed the Edition folder to server using command line argument....and it was giving status as completed......but in log ....it was showing the name of the files which were deployed belong to some other folder (say y folder) inside Edition itself.

When deployment take place it compares the current edition and previous edition files...........or it compares the current edition and files which are present in destination server..............in command line arugment i passed the arugment as current edition and previous edition.

If you want to deploy particular file then better using filebased deployment where you generate list of files to be deployed.

If you want to use Edition based comparision then it would compare the 2 edition generate a list of files to be deployed and deploy them.

Yes it is Edition based comparision..........but while deployment it is not deploying the files which are different in current and previous Edition..............but it is comparing current and destination Folders......why so..?

And i tried deploying it to one more server where it is saying "zero files deployed".

can you post your deployment script, seems that you have some sort of filter there most likely source filter which further filters files from source and target.

What version of OD are you using, seems using 5.6. Which ever your OD is your script is all wrong, check the documentation for edition comparision and then build it again.
