IPTC Metadata not showing inside MediaBin

Hi. The photographer I work with uses Capture One software with his digital camera. In this software, he has the option of entering values into IPTC fields, such as "Keywords," "Edit Status," etc. However, he's entered data into every single one of these fields for several different TIFFs, and not one of these values has shown up inside MediaBin. The only way we've been able to get the IPTC data he's entered to show up in MediaBin is if the file is a PSD. However, we need this to work for TIFFs - help? Thanks!

IPTC metadata is supported within other formats, specifically TIFF, although the preferred way to convey this data is via the XMP packet. If you provide support with the Tiff file in question, they will be able to diagnose why the metadata is not being read. The Tiff library is senstive to fields such as the type assigned to each tag and occasionally we run into Tiffs that are not read due to inconsistencies.
