Deployment not getting done and shown the status running

Hi,

I have done the deployment several times and it always shows running for hours and none of the file getting pushed!
In the log file it shows the last statement as follows:

LIB: 2007-07-06 12:59:35 LOGFILE=[C:\iw-home\opendeploy\OpenDeployNG\log\src.wft_opendeploy71403.MYDEFINITIONNAME.fsekwukap01.to.uat.log]
LIB: 2007-07-06 12:59:35 Locale=[English_UnitedStates.MS1252@Binary]
LIB: 2007-07-06 12:59:35 Interwoven OpenDeploy(5.6.0.1.0 Build 21220 Interwoven 20030618)

Hi,

You need to check the receiver logs and the src logs and see if there are any pointers.
Check the available disk space and user rights on receiver as well.

Please explain the scenario... what is the size of your deployment also post your conf xml file... Did this depoyment run any time successfully?

Did you restart your opendeploy services after making changes to OD configuration files (odnodes &od base.xml) ?

I see this happen when the log directory on the receiver gets full. No way to stop it except kill both the sender and receiver OD processes.

Yes you were right! The logs on the receiver was full and when I cleaned them up, OD started working fine.

I certainly hope Mariam is on and reads this thread because this is IMHO one of the very worst "features" of OpenDeploy. With the location of most receivers in a DMZ (and very inaccessible), this is a tough problem to debug. The fix then is to get more space (or delete old logs) and then restart both sender and receiver.

Are you sure this wasn't fixed in 6.x? The OD6.0.2SP1 Release Notes has this in the list of bug fixes:[indent]60224 DataDeploy prevents OpenDeploy log file rollover functionality. [/indent]Although I don't see how that would affect the log files on the Receiver side, but its possible...

If not, this should definitely be [re-]filed as a bug with IWOV Support

And maybe that is correct, I had this problem a great deal with 6.0.1 so I am not certain if it was fixed. I certainly hope so.

The original post did not what rev of OD he runs.
