Modified Timestamp Date in TPL

I am trying to output the modified date in a TPL. I'm not sure what the syntax is. I've tried outputting iwov_timestamp_simple, but it just outputs the code as text rather than displaying the date. Any other ideas??

Have you copied the PM from the examples folder to iw-perl ?

It looks like it should be in iwhome/iw-perl/vendor/libe/TeamSite/PT

This worked when I copied in the PM file, but I think I'm using the wrong tag altogether. It outputs the current time, but I want the current date. Do you know of a tag that will do that? Thanks.

Understand, this is an example. It is meant for you to hack with and customize to your liking.

Luckily for you I had a good weekend and this is an easy problem.

You will need to change lines 34-35 of the pm you copied in. It says:

my $time = sprintf("%d:%02d", (localtime())[1,2];
this->emit_text($time);

to

my $date= sprintf("%04d-%02d-%02d", (localtime())[3,4,5];
this->emit_text($date);

Nipper, thanks for your help. I ended up modifying your code slightly to get the date to output in YYYY-MM-DD format. The code below is working like a charm!

my ($day, $month, $year) = (localtime())[3..5];
$this->emit_text(sprintf("%04d-%02d-%02d", $year+1900, $month+1, $day));

A bit simpler (IMO) is:

use Date::Format;
...
$this->emit_text(time2str("%Y-%m-%d", time));
