Allowed dir being a symlink

Hi all,
Just upgraded OD recvr from 5.6.1 to 6.1.1 on Solaris. The allowed directory is a symlink to another. When I had the allowed dir set to the symlink target (A->B here A is the target, B is the source), it failed and was looking for the symlink source to be the allowed dir. Is this new in OD 6.1.1? Is there a way to continue using the symlink target(A) as allowed dir by changing some config?

I too ran into the same issue .. somewhere in the documentation they mentioned that we shouldnt use symlinks.
Are you having any alternative in your implementation now or otherwise we can leave the discussion to experts here.

OD resolves the symlink path to determine if it is an allowed path. If you want to use the symlink, you have to make the path it points to be an allowed path - and if you're going to do that, you might as well specify the actual path anyway (you can still have a symlink pointing to it for other reasons, but ...)
