It is about OD speed :

when deploying from OD base 5.6 to OD rcvr 6.1 we have noticed this behavior:

If we deploy a 5 MB file ( single file) with compression set to "9" it goes pretty fast. If we deploy 200 small files of again 5 MB then they goes at much deteriorated speed. Now first this is if i simple use "scp" to copy from Base to Rcvr it goes at 1 Mbps but the FAstest performance of OD is about 200 Kbps over the same network. so can i say that due to additional checks in OD it slow down ?

Second what are the options available to increase the speed of OD if we have several small files to deploy.
I have gone through the support articles and tried "compression" "buffer size" already but any suggestions are welcome .

Beyond that, not sure what else you can do to try to improve speed of transmission.
