CLT to find if a file is in staging

Hello,
I am working on a workflow, that needs to check whether a file exist in the staging area. If it is not there, then I have to submit that file to staging. So I was just wondering if there is any CLT that I could use to find the status of a file (basically based on some file attributes or something is it possible to know if file is already in staging).

Is your requirement only to check for the first time if the file is present in staging or not?
or
Is to check if the latest version is in staging or available in the Workarea?

Hi,

iwattrib vpath attribute might be helpful.
Check for revisionnumber/history/modified attributes.
Alternatively, you can check if the file is physically present on the drive in STAGING area.

As stated - iwattrib vpath-to-file-in-workarea revisionnumber should come back with a numerical response:

CLTs (one for iwgethome() to get the TeamSite home directory - which is needed to get the proper path to iwperl, and one to run the iwattrib CLT ... so maybe it's still more efficient to do it in code-form as shown above ...)

Either check if the file is being versioned or you can also use -e to check the existence of the file.
