Visual Annotate and IE7

We are using Interwoven TeamSite 6.5.0 Service Pack 2 and we have found that Visual Annotate does seem to be supported under IE7. Does anyone know if this is planned to be supported in the near future and if so when?

Judging from this tech article - the answer is probably not too soon.

Note: The article is somewhat erroneous as 6.5.0 SP3 does not yet officially support IE7 either - they're working on a patch for SP3 but there's no official ETA for that patch yet (as far as I was able to determine earlier today) - and 6.7.1 SP1 is still in Beta - but I believe is due out relatively soon (perhaps by the end of the month - but I don't think that's "official")

I suggest you contact Support to make sure your organization is listed as interested in getting this resolved soon.

We are releasing an updated VA in TS 6.7.1 SP1 that includes support for Win XP SP2 and IE7. We have also fixed quite a few bugs.

Also, it seems that Visual Annotate does not work with Vista and IE7.

I'd love to show someone what it does, but can't find any documentation (with pictures).

MSFT changed a number of things especially around how it deals with ActiveX controls in Vista and adding VA support on Vista requires a pretty significant effort. Hence we introduced support for IE7 on Win XP SP2 but not on Vista. With TS 6.7.2 that is scheduled to ship in May, we are introducing support for Vista for end users of TS but that will still not include VA support for Vista.

No - it means that Vista support for VA is non trivial and it will take us longer to support that platform (will be added in a future release). We do support Win XP SP2 and IE 7 as of TS 6.7.2.

We installed TS 6.7.2 and I have IE7, however for some reason, VA just couldn't be activated. I checked - Two Interwoven VA add-ons are enabled and a VA icon (gray out) was shown on IE toolbar. But VA menu bar just couldn't get launched. Each time, when I view a VA page, it shows the following message. I couldn't activate it using the menu icon as advised. Reinstall didn't work - same result. Any ideas?

If the toolbar has still not appeared, please activate it by using the menu option.1 If this does not work, you may want to try reinstalling the toolbar by clicking Reinstall below.
