Pagelink Datum type

If we specify the datum type as pagelink, two radio buttons are generated automatically(with the options as "link to a page" and "link to a URL").
Is there any way i can determine which radio button is selected by the user?

what are you trying to solve? the only difference the component will see is the link value embedded in the xml.

I have to embed some data in the hyperlink/URL. If the user selects the radio button 'link to page' i wish to embed the data else i dont.

there's no way to hook into the properties form but the page link has a special format $PAGE_LINK[] that you could test for in your xsl

Unfortunately $PAGE_LINK[] appears not be populated until after the XSL transform is completed. Thus in XSL attempting to test for the result of $PAGE_LINK[], your string contains the words "$PAGE_LINK[]". It would be good if $PAGE_LINK was populated before the transform takes place.

What version of Livesite are you using?

what do you mean by not populated populated?

the xml will contain $PAGE_LINK[page relative path you selected in the form]

the PAGE_LINK token does get replaced with a true url post transformation but the token is still present.
