Web CMS (TeamSite)
OpenDeploy + ClearCase
gohyangee
Hi,
I am at a company that currently uses ClearCase to house some static, business related HTML pages for their website. They want to migrate these to TeamSite so business users can easily access them and update the content. However, the developers also still need access to them because the rest of the website is dependent on them. Therefore, they want to be able to periodically sync up TeamSite content with ClearCase. Also, they don't want to let go of either tool so that is not an option.
Has this been done before? Are there any best practices you could share? My thoughts were I could deploy the content using OD in the directory structure I need then use CC's command line tools to check them in. Is there a better way?
Thanks!

I have done this a couple of times. However the solution does not lend itself well to a 30 second post on DevNet.
CC is a world class SCM tool. It is very open and can work with a lot of tools, so working with TS is easy. Both products are extremely configurable, that is the rub. There is no one way to do it. There are hundreds of ways, each with its advantages and disadvantages. Without detailed interviews with the teams and a significant amount of detail on the system, it is impossible to propose the right solution.
You can start by researching how TS integrates with SCM tools. There are a number of posts about that.
