Hardware requirements

Hi,

Hope by now most of you are working on 6.7.x :-)

We finally decided to upgrade to 6.7.x and i tried to install the same on our sandbox and got a warning to install J2SE Solaris Patch Cluster patch on our solaris server.

Is there any place we have all the hardware requirements. I looked at ts.670.admin.unix and found very generic. Not specific ones like above.

Could some one help me if you have already some collective data.

This is software not hardware requirements - and try looking at ts.670.install.unix.pdf (the Installation manual) starting around page 21

I am able to install fine. When I try to start the server getting below error in the iwtrace.log. I looked in the patches readme contents not able to find if this any patch related.

Are you trying to start when you are root ?

run this command:

ls -l /bin

Yes, I am running as a root. Are we not supposed to do so ? below is the output of the command you suggested. Any clue , please.

bash-2.05# ls -l /bin
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 9 Jan 25 2006 /bin -> ./usr/bin

Sorry, my post got hosed, iw-home/bin is what I need.

Yes you must be root to run.

I suspect your install did not complete. There are a number of permissions that need to be set for that app.
